Vector Minimalism

Refers to the minimalist vector-based graphics popular with tech companies in the 2010s.
This was a minimalistic, quietish era, defined by the decrease in Skeumorphism of this era towards a "flat" aesthetic that in manys was heavily referential of Mid-Century Modernism. It started in 2012, became the dominant aesthetic of silicon valley in mid-2013, and faded out to some extent by the late 2010s. Examples: "Flat" anything; paring down the naturalistic tendencies of Hipness Purgatory and replacing them with an angularity that both recalls Mid-century designs and anticipates developments in Corporate Memphis; iOS 7; geometric sans serif fonts, particularly combined with Bodoni or Didot-esque bold serif display fonts (common 2015-present)
