Named for the recurring motif of a neon, laser-like grid background often found in examples of this aesthetic.
The 80's high-tech design style that later became a main component in the Corporate Vaporwave, Corporate Synthwave, etc. aesthetics of the early 2010s. Precedes Pacific Punk Wave style which is mainly prevalent in the late 1980s. Laser grids, glass blocks, sleek metallic surfaces, reflective glass (think state-of-the-art 80's corporate office park) glowing neon in a high-tech application (sometimes referencing art deco), chromed-out airbrush effects, robots, simple pomo shapes and compositions.
