Laser Grid (1980s)
ca. Early 1980s - Late 1980s
The 80's high-tech design style that later became a main component in the Vaporwave, Synthwave, etc. aesthetics of the early 2010s. Precedes Pacific Punk Wave style which is mainly prevalent in the late 1980s. Laser grids, glass blocks, sleek metallic surfaces, reflective glass (think state-of-the-art 80's corporate office park) glowing neon in a high-tech application (sometimes referencing art deco), chromed-out airbrush effects, robots, simple pomo shapes and compositions.
