Potentially emerging from the Pacific Punk Wave movement, and influential/contemporaneous with Grunge, this style is specific to typography. Stretched letters in every direction, jumbled, playful mixing of fonts & colors, objects substituted for letters, calligrams, etc. Note this is distinct from the more dirty, grungy 'ransom note collage' look.
