Pastel Southwestern (1980s)

1980s iteration of 'southwestern' styles fused with the prevailing pastel color palette of the era. Sits between the earlier 1970s dark toned Southwestern-Mission style (eg. the original Taco Bell design), and the later 1990s-2000s earthy-toned Tuscan style. Pastel tones, plush furnishings, light wood accents, adobe accents, the emergence of the Kokopelli, geometric patterns derived from Indigenous-peoples art.
