Eco-Beige (1990s)

Stripped-down, eco-oriented early 1990s aesthetic. There's something about this style, where it seems like an attempt to distance itself from 1980s excess, and seem more stripped down, unpretentious, eco-friendly, and down to earth. Beige, soft natural tones, twigs, raffia straw, linens, wood, exposed surfaces, textured walls. Not usually super-detailed or ornate, using simple handcrafted forms or just natural forms.
