Boho-Chic
Namesake:
Shortened form of “Bohemian-Chic.” "Bohemian" describes the phenomenon of wealthy classes romanticizing and accessorizing the lifestyles of lower classes, while "Chic" is a French word describing something that is fashionable. In this case, the term applies specifically to the millennial hipster subculture that aspired to emulate hippie fashion from the 1960s. It is critical to note that in common practice, the term "Boho-Chic" is only used to describe the fashion subculture. CARI however observes this term as a Consumer Aesthetic that over time evolved to have expressions in Music, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and other artistic disciplines.
